I believe that different treatment approaches should be used for different problems, and I take an eclectic approach to psychotherapy.  Sometimes I employ cognitive and behavioral techniques to help my clients.  For example, clients who experience anxiety benefit from learning how to relax or how to manage their stress.  This can help people overcome fear, become more assertive, and function better in school or at work.  Other clients benefit from insight-oriented or existentially-based approaches to therapy.  These approaches are especially helpful when people feel dissatisfied or lost on their journey through life and seek truth, purpose, and meaning.
